Hi there, I'm Ethan Byrne. I work as a Director of Photography, photographer, and editor based in New York City, operating out of my production studio in Dumbo, Brooklyn. My work spans sports, commercial campaigns, and brand storytelling — with a focus on creating content that feels authentic and refreshing.

I own and operate an Arri Alexa 35, and as much as I love it, I'm keen to pick up my iPhone or any other camera when the job demands it. I'm dorky believer that the best camera is the one you have, and also the one that your audience expects. It is not uncommon to see me using an Alexa, an FX6, and an iPhone on set on any given week.

Before New York, I was raised in Boulder, Colorado where I developed my love for skiing, the Denver Nuggets, and high altitudes. I then attended Boston College, majoring in Philosophy (of course) and learning the ropes of production through freelance, working for the school, and time spent at Boulder Media House. I've been freelance since 2022 and operate via my production company, Boston Polar Media.
